Correría más riesgos, haría más viajes, contamplaría más atardeceres, subiría más montañas, nadaría más ríos. Iría a más lugares adonde nunca he ido, comería más helados y menos habas, tendría más problemas reales y menos imaginarios. Yo era uno de esos que nunca iba a ninguna parte sin un termómetro, una bolsa de agua caliente, un paraguas y un paracaídas, si pudiera volver a vivir, viajaría más liviano. Si pudiera volver a vivir comenzaría a andar descalzo a principios de la primavera y seguiría así hasta concluir el otoño. History Of The Word Friend: A Friend is a Lover, literally. The relationship between Latin Amcus “Friend” & Am “I Love” is clear, as is the relationship between Greek Philos “Friend” & Phile “I Love.” In English, though, we have to go back a millennium before we see the verb related to Friend. At that time, Frond, the Old English word for “Friend,” was simply the present participle of the verb Fron, “To Love.” The Germanic root behind this verb is *Fr-, which meant “To Like, Love, Be Friendly To.” Closely linked to these concepts is that of “Peace,” & in fact Germanic made a noun from this root, *Frithu-, meaning exactly that. Ultimately descended from this noun are the personal names Frederick, “Peaceful Ruler,” & Siegfried, ”Victory Peace.” The root also shows up in the name of the Germanic deity Frigg, The Goddess Of Love, who lives on today in the word Friday, “Day Of Frigg,” from an ancient translation of Latin Veneris Dis, “Day Of Venus”.

A lunation is a lunar month, during which time the Moon completely circles the Earth in its orbit. The complete cycle of phases is obvious. Two other effects can be easily seen. First, due to the elliptical shape of the Moon's orbit, the apparent size of the Moon's disk changes as its distance from Earth varies (the closest and farthest points do not always occur at the same phases, however).
